RJ Strickland has been in ministry 24 serving in California, Hawaii, Washington and Oregon. He is the co-founder of Skaters In Christ and spent many years in the skate industry building skate ministries and skate churches. Throughout his time in ministry, RJ has planted multicultural and multilingual churches and was the founder and president of Kokua Compassion Group, a ministry focused on homeless and immigrant populations in Hawaii. RJ is a touring musician and most recently toured with a reggae band called Christafari. He is currently the lead pastor of Bend Naz in Bend, Oregon and plays music part-time with many bands in the area. In addition to his pastoral role, he also serves at PLNU as a Pastoral Coach helping pastors and leaders discover clear direction that leads to purposeful movement. RJ has been married to his wife, Kacy, for 19 years and has four kids ages 16, 14, 11, and 7.
